Believe it or not, I've been recruited as a "Celebrity Dancer" for Dancing with the Stars of Mentoring 2017. Proceeds from the event support the RI Mentoring Partnership and their work to provide access to mentoring opportunities for youth around the state.
I attended a breakfast for RIMP last fall and I was so moved by the profound impact a mentor can have on the life of a child. I immediately took steps to become a mentor and I have recently begun mentoring a truly wonderful 2nd grader.
There are so many deserving children in need of a positive influence in their life and the RI Mentoring Partnership is doing amazing work. The impact from being a mentor goes well beyond the positive influence in that one child's life but also has a profound impact on their family and community they live in.
The need for mentors is overwhelming and so many children are still waiting for help! Please help me and donate to this amazing organization. And please come cheer me on April 27th at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet!!!
