As a father of 4 and grandfather of 9, my heart is always with the children. This brings me back to when I was 3 years old and we had a fire in our home. As this huge fireman scooped me up, then grabbed my 2 baby sisters from my father, he brought us to our grandmother who lived next door. I watched those brave fireman put out the fire, I remember them, throwing things out the window so those things would not help spread the fire. We lost everything that horrific day and if it were not for the kind folks in our neighborhood and our family just giving us things to survive the next day, who knows what would have happened? So, throughout my life, I have always tried to give back, whether coaching little league baseball, coaching rec league basketball, or officiating high school basketball including the Special Olympics, it is always very rewarding to give back. This is not about Mike, it is about helping the children of Rhode Island. I can't do this without you. Please consider helping me to reach my goal, which will help out the kids.
