As the oldest of four siblings, I’ve always believed in the power of guidance and support. Being a mentor to my younger brothers and sisters taught me how much a caring presence can shape someone’s life. That passion for helping others reach their full potential has stayed with me.
Recently, my partner and I had the privilege of fostering a baby boy. For two months, we cared for him and loved him as our own. Even though he’s no longer with us, I still think about him every day and hope that, someday, I can be a mentor for him—someone he can count on when he needs it most.
This experience reminded me why organizations like Mentor Rhode Island matter. There are thousands of young people in our state who need someone to believe in them, guide them, and help them thrive. My goal is to help connect 5,000 youth with mentors who can make that difference.
Every donation—big or small—brings us closer to that goal. Thank you for supporting this mission and helping create real change in the lives of young people.
