Dancing With the Stars of Mentoring 2026 — Help Me Step Up, Step Out, and Maybe Even Step in Rhythm
If you’ve known me for more than five minutes, you know I’m most comfortable in a hospital hallway, at a leadership table, or mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals—not in sequins, spotlights, or choreographed dance formations.
Yet here we are.
I’m officially stepping way out of my comfort zone and onto the stage as a contestant in Dancing With the Stars of Mentoring 2026, all to support the life-changing work of MENTOR Rhode Island.
As a nurse—and now proudly serving as the Chief Nursing Officer at The Miriam Hospital—I’ve dedicated my life to caring for people and helping others find their path. One of my greatest passions has always been mentoring high school students who dream of careers in healthcare. I’ve witnessed firsthand how a steady, caring mentor can change the trajectory of a young person’s life.
So when I was asked to dance to support mentoring… well… my heart said yes.
My feet said, “Are you sure?”
But here I am, committed, energized, and slightly terrified.
And that’s where YOU come in.
I’m aiming for the People’s Choice Award, which goes to the dancer who raises the most money—and every dollar directly supports Mentor RI in connecting young people with the guidance, encouragement, and belief they deserve.
Your contribution helps:
Pair more young people with mentors who can change their future
Expand support programs across Rhode Island
Keep me from panicking mid–cha-cha in front of 500+ people
Whether your donation is small, mighty, or somewhere in between, it will make a real difference.
A little helps. A lot helps even more. And all of it supports kids who need someone in their corner.
Thank you for cheering me on, for supporting mentoring, and for believing that with enough heart I can dance my way to the top—preferably without spraining anything.
Respectfully, don’t hold back.
Step up for a great cause.
And I promise to step, spin, shimmy, and survive for Mentor RI.
